There is a need to reaffirm the role of government as the main driver’s in achieving SDGs with regulators government are key to setting the norms, policies expectations and monitoring sustainable behaviours by business

We need to prioritize holistic and participatory interventions to sustainable and fair trade that empower communities and foster sustainable change to tackle the fact that SDG gains over the past decades are being undone by the devastating effects of climate change, the increasing threat of pandemics and conflict. 
Multistakeholder Initiatives are at last becoming the norm in line #SDG17 (e.g. the cocoa Sustainable platforms ISCOs in NL, Germany, France, Switzerland and Belgium)
exemplifying the collaborative approach needed to tackle the poly-crisis affecting the Agenda2030 pathway of change

This report/tool called SDG Compass was recently released by GRI, UNGC, and WBCSD, and I am looking forward to reviewing it: “The guide is developed with a focus on large multinational enterprises. Small and medium enterprises and other organizations are also encouraged to use it as a source of inspiration and adapt as necessary. It is designed for use at the entity level, but may be applied at the product, site, divisional or regional level as required.”

and lastly we must ensure the #NextGeneration of business managers, employees, entrepreneurs, consumers and producers are informed and resourced to drive SDG action for the remaining years to the Agenda 2030 finish line!!!

This data value chain for measuring progress is also important when thinking about how micro and small businesses play a role in accelerating progress towards the SDGs especially given their role in job employment, which are interlinked with many other SDGs. (SDG 8, SDG 1, SDG 5)
