Have focused the last 25 years of my career on issues of business and peace with the concept that ethical business conduct maps well with studies of relatively peaceful societies so that by acting ethically, business (sometimes intentionally, sometimes not) can contribute to peace. In the past 7 years, I have increasingly turned my attention to how cultural artifacts (music, sports, film, literature…even our pets) can allow people who differ on social and political issues to find common ground and enhance civil dialogue.
