Haiti - The future

I think the global business community needs to respond immediately according to their individual expertise and capacity. The products or services a business is currently offering to the general public and global community needs to be redirected to Haiti in the form of humanitarian aid and relief. We must also call upon the research and development community to identify the best way to rebuild the country to be better prepared for future natural disasters. I must also add that this is a great time to exercise corporate prayer for Haiti and the effected families. (literally)

I would like to emphasize that bad business brings bad future ,and it is the poor country which are almost hard striked with bad business .

Interesting article in The Guardian in the UK a couple of days ago on corporate donations to Haiti: “Business donors to Haiti: which companies are digging deep?”

Nyakio,
Thank you for the question. Business should not disregard cultural matters. If we intend to use business to promote development in Haiti (a better brighter future) we have to ensure this will be a Haitian future. Their Today’s weakness forces them to be open to every foreign help, but it’s up to us to offer a help that would really enable the country’s social transformation and development. Haiti doesn’t only need jobs, but it needs knowledge and market resources to create its own jobs.
There are several cultural aspects that can be raised up with a particular study. I believe cultural concerns can help in determining an effective business solution that would empower the local population and enable a better and brighter future for Haiti.

I want to introduce to you a new friend of mine, Bill Loftus, CEO/Inventor of Environmental Building Products, Inc. 5127 NW 25th Place Gainesville, Fl. 32606 Ph. 727.639.2127
