How Can Corporations Develop and Tailor Management Practices to Inclusive Business?

A3: These practices are important. They will help an Inclusive Business to overcome barriers to growth and will also ensure a safe protected space for the business to thrive.

Having a defined structure that caters to your Inclusive business’ specific needs does bring many advantages- right from being able to hire the relevant talent to quicker turn-around times to better execution to lower costs - the benefits are numerous. While the financial might of a multinational helps lay out plans to form and drive IBs, building safe environment helps take it to scale. This could be done by creating a separate/ local financial identity within the big multinational.

Creating locally relevant technology to cater to community specific needs also requires a buy-in from the management. Their commitment to positively impact lives helps the cause.

Its a mandate set by our leadership and has been integrated into our compensation packages. For example top leaders have a financial KPI to support our purpose/mission. The expression of this support varies across business units and geographies but it sends an important message across the business that deploying the mission is not just the responsibility of the inclusive business and philanthropy teams.
