Drawing on emerging insights, this discussion focused on two key areas: building effective, trust-based partnerships to drive systemic change, and harnessing AI to increase efficiency and impact while managing risks.

Participants shared experiences, challenges and solutions, with a focus on human-centred approaches that enable collaboration, innovation and meaningful progress in difficult times.

Questions

  • What is one practical example of a business/NGO/Government partnership that you have been a part of or are aware of that has helped achieve more than each partner could have done alone?

  • Where do you think AI could help social impact organisations scale their efforts in the current climate? Please share ideas for where AI could support organisations to conduct new research, deepen knowledge management, improve programme design, scale communications, strengthen fundraising, build partnerships, or anything else that could help them increase their impact.

  • What is one decision, behaviour, or mindset shift that social impact leaders need to make now to stay ambitious in a context of crisis and constraint?

Hello there! I’m Jess Berliner, the Co-founder & Director of Product of Learn Biomimicry. A question to you: What is one thing that you’d really like to tackle in our online conversation on Wednesday? I’m so curious about what is top of mind for you! What I bring to this party: I’ll be introducing the mindsets and concepts of biomimicry and anti-fragility. These practices both align with the strategies and patterns that are present in nature, and can help us to shift our perspectives, ask better questions, and better understand the true power of feedback loops.

Hi everyone, I’m Natasha, member of the Global Expert Network convened by Business Fights Poverty. Glad to join this conversation, I was at the Africa non-profit summit last week in Accra, where the role of AI in helping organisations scale and be more efficient was a key topic, and the question of resource mobilisation through domestic sources and earned income explored - grounded examples of being ambitious in the face of crisis and constraint. I’m keen to explore ambition in the context of local/proximate organisations and funders who are supporting this work. Do connect with me on Linked-In https://www.linkedin.com/in/natasha-kwakwa/
